Default Looking for teachers to help me improve web based resources!

Hi,

I am a usability consultant. My role is to better understand how teachers use the internet and then inform the design process with my findings to make sure web based resources are better for teachers to use.

I am looking for people who would be interested in filling out this short survey which will gather information on your current web use and some details for me to get back to you on. Should you fill out the survey I would be asking if you would be interested in being involved in paid studies.

So if you are interested please follow the link below and I will be in touch shortly:

Kind regards,

Bowen Hendy

You are working over a good topic. I would like to share some more information. Internet skills are important for employment, quality of life, etc.; our students need to master them no matter what their field or profession. community is absolutely crucial for faculty seeking to successfully integrate technology into their teaching, including hands-on, discipline-specific teacher training; practical, project-based activities; just-in-time advice and help; long-term mentoring and support.

Yes indeed, teachers need to know how to utilize the
internet correctly, or they will leave everything to the web.
That's not good teaching. Students, too. The internet is
a valuable tool, but needs to be used in academically correct
ways.

Closely related to this is the idea of Learning Management Systems. These are interesting as the teacher has direct control over how it will function in their class. Their use is really in it's infancy however and we have a long and exciting journey ahead of us.

You may read some of my thoughts on this here:

I would be very keen to hear your thoughts on the topic too. If replying could you please indicate your level of experience with LMS's as well.
