students make pictures by tearing blue and white construction paper and 
gluing it onto another paper.

the jars used in the Hanukkah story.
 
- Potato Latkes for 1 or 10 - In this yummy 
activity, students modify a single serving recipe for potato latkes to 
serve five, ten, and fifteen. They practice multiplying fractions and 
converting improper fractions to proper ones.
 
- Probability and Spinning the Dreidel 
- Students use a Jewish Dreidel to practice probability. They answer questions 
about how often one of the symbols may appear and what different combinations 
can occur.
 
- The Details of Kosher Foods - "Kosher" is 
a term we hear often when we are talking about Jewish food, but how many 
of us really know what it means? In this lesson, students study the rules 
in depth and plan a meal that is entirely kosher.

students create a timeline that shows how the Hanukkah celebration has 
grown and changed over the years. They start with the actual event and
