A
French Weather Report- "The objective of this lesson is for students
to correctly use the French language using weather related vocabulary,
numbers, and days of the week. Students will prepare a weather forecast
and present it as if they were on a television news program."
Breaking
Weather Report - The learner will be able to identify North, South,
East, West, Hawaii, and Alaska and act out the part of six meteorologists
in different parts of the U.S.
Climographs:
Temperature, Precipitation, and the Human Condition- In this lesson,
students learn about how to read, analyze, and construct climographs.
They also practice matching climographs to locations in the United States
and in Africa, and discerning climate patterns and making some predictions
about their effects on humans in different places in Africa.
Cloud
Types - There are different types of clouds. Varying cloud types have
distinguishing characteristics.
Cloud
Watching- Students will examine, identify, and
record cumulus, cumulonimbus, cirrus, and stratus cloud formations.
Clouds-
The students will understand what a cloud is, how it is formed and the
various types of clouds.
Conversation
About the Weather - To be able to broaden the vocabulary when talking
about the weather so the student can broaden their conversation.

If the soil in an area will not hold enough rainwater, flooding problems
will ensue.
Geography
Weather Symbols - Students need to learn how to read, translate, and
analyze the activities and how it affects a particular country in the
scientific, political, and geographical areas.
Glaciers
and Icebergs- The scraping patterns left by a glacier depend on how
the glacier moved over the landform.
How
Does the Wind Blow?- Children will discover how air makes things move
and how different forces make things move more.
How's
the Weather Today?- This lesson asks students to think about the weather
in their area and introduces them to weather and temperature trends in
different latitudes of the United States.
Identifying
Erosion- Students will be able to identify erosion and explain the
causes of erosion.

throughout the United States.
Tracking
Local Weather- Every day for one week (Monday through Friday), take
your class outside and measure as many of these variables as you can:
