November 5th - Guy Fawkes Day - On November 5, 1605 an attempt was made to blow up the House of Parliament and King James I. Guy Fawkes day is a day celebrated by the British as Thanksgiving.
November 7th - Marie Curie's Birthday - Marie was born on November 7, 1867. Both Marie and her husband Pierre won the Nobel prize for discovering physics.
November 8th - Montana becomes a State - Montana was admitted to the union on November 8, 1889, making it the 41st state.
November 8th - X-Ray Discovered - On November 8, 1859, a man named Wilhelm Conrad Rontgen discovered the x-ray, which has been an important part of the medical field ever since.
November 9th - Sesame Street Premieres - On November 9, 1969 the popular TV show for children, "Sesame Street," aired it's first episode. It was a huge hit with kids and parents.
November 11th - Veteran's Day Observed - A presidential proclamation made November 11th a national holiday to honor all the veteran's.

November 23rd - Franklin Pierce's Birthday - Franklin Pierce was born on November 23, 1804. He was the United States 14th president.
November 25th - JFK's Funeral - On November 25, 1963 over 800,000 people showed up in Washington D.C. to mourn the assassinated president John F. Kennedy. He was buried in Arlington Cemetery in Virginia with a 21 gun salute.
